Last January, in the building of Moscone Center of San Francisco, the edition number 36 of the Fancy Food fair was held, which is the most important food event in the U.S. and one of the most important in the world. With almost 20,000 visitors and nearly 1,500 exhibitors representing most of the countries of the world, this event was a great opportunity for us to present the Quely products. For that purpose we sent our Chef, Javier Soriano, who offered a series of Showcookings on the 16th, 17th and 18th of the month.
As usual, Javier employed the greatest variety of ingredients to make his recipes of Tapas: quince and strawberry jelly; marmalades of figs and tomato; roasted peppers, tomato sauce, fried onion, spinach and sprouts; brie cheeses, Camembert, fresh rolled French bread; cream cheese, chocolate and peanuts; strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mulberries and sweet nuts; chips of beans and carrots; fresh and canned tuna, fresh and smoked salmon; veal; mustard, black and white sesame, sesame oil, rice vinegar and brown sugar.
The acceptance and reception of the Tapas among the public in attendance was exceptional. Many people that approached the stand where Javier offered his Show were pleasantly surprised by the variety of ingredients that combine well with our crackers, and the good taste shown in preparing the recipes. They likewise praised the flavour and the quantity of uses and combinations that are possible with our products. One anecdote we can tell about is that various exhibitors of Gourmet products in attendance, approached Javier to express to their admiration for the success of the Quely Tapas in the fair.
